Mirages in the Desert

In the summer it gets awfully in hot in Arizona, even at night. If I saw a mirage like this, I'd wish it were real! The little yellow flowers were real. The hardy little plants grew in the desert sand near where I took this photo.

But about every five years, we see snow in the desert. Click here (or next) to see a spring snowfall just 40 miles east of Phoenix, in 2005.
